- Ultra-compact envelope — the defining advantage. The SDA series is engineered for minimum installed height. At equivalent bore sizes, an SDA cylinder occupies up to 50% less axial space than a standard ISO 15552 cylinder and approximately 30% less than a conventional tie-rod compact cylinder. This enables higher machine density and simplifies retrofitting into legacy equipment where space margins are tight.
- Riveted construction — reliability without fasteners. The cylinder body, front cover, and rear cover are joined by a precision riveting process rather than threaded connections or tie rods. This eliminates loosening from vibration, reduces part count, and creates a permanently sealed assembly. In high-frequency cycling applications (up to several cycles per second), this structural integrity translates directly to longer maintenance-free operation.
- Dual-direction polyurethane anti-collision pads. Both the piston and the rod-end feature integrated PU cushioning pads. During retraction and extension, these pads absorb end-of-stroke impact energy before metal-to-metal contact occurs. The result is quieter operation, reduced vibration transfer to the machine frame, and extended seal life — particularly important in high-speed short-stroke cycling.
- 360-degree chamfered body edges. Every external edge of the SDA cylinder body is chamfered — no sharp corners. This is a deliberate manufacturing touch that protects nearby cables, tubing, and operator hands in densely packed automation assemblies.
- Hard-anodized bore with roller-burnished finish. The inner cylinder wall undergoes a two-stage treatment: mechanical roller burnishing to create a mirror-smooth surface, followed by hard anodizing for surface hardness. The combination yields exceptionally low friction, minimal seal wear, and consistent performance even after millions of cycles.
- Heterogeneous two-way piston seal with oil retention. The patented dual-seal piston design incorporates an oil reservoir between the primary and secondary seal lips. This self-lubricating mechanism maintains a thin oil film on the bore wall, reducing breakaway friction and stick-slip — especially beneficial in low-pressure applications or after extended idle periods.
- Full FESTO / SMC cross-compatibility. Mounting dimensions, port locations, and accessory mounting patterns are produced to match FESTO ADN and SMC equivalent compact cylinder series. Drop-in replacement requires no adapter plates, no re-drilling, and no modification to existing tooling.

Product Advantages
Installation and application
1. Whenload changes in the work, the cylinder with abundant output capacity shall be selected.
2. Relative cylinder with high temperature resistance or corrosion resistance shall be chosen under the condition of high temperature or corrosion.
3.Necessary protection measure shall be taken in the environment with higher humidity, much dust or water drops, oil dust and welding dregs.
4. Dirty substances in the pipe must be eliminated before cylinder is connected with pipeline to prevent the entrance of particles into the cylinder.
5.The medium used by cylinder shall be filtered to 4Oum or below.
6.As both of the front cover and piston of the cylinder are short, typically too large stroke can not be selected.
7. Anti-freezing measure shall be adopted under low temperature environment to prevent moisture freezing.
8.The cylinder shall avoid the influence of side load in operation to maintain the normal work of cylinder and extend the service life.
9. If the cylinder is dismantled and stored for a long time, please conduct anti-rust treatment to the surface. Anti-dust caps shall be added in air inlet and outlet ports.
