The PE union tee is a one-touch push-in pneumatic fitting with a copper-free PBT resin body and three equal tube ports. Engineered as a direct functional replacement for PISCO PE, it delivers identical performance and connection compatibility at significantly lower cost. Tool-free push-in installation splits one air line into two reliably, from vacuum to 1.0 MPa — a compact, lightweight solution for centralized pneumatic piping.

Installation and Usage

Installation

  • Cut the tube square — use a tube cutter (not scissors or a knife); a square, burr-free end ensures a full seal.
  • Deburr and clean — remove any burrs or foreign matter from the tube end and outside surface.
  • Insert the tube — push the tube firmly and straight into any port until it bottoms out; you will feel or hear it lock. Give a light pull to confirm. Repeat for the other two ports.
  • Route with adequate bending radius — avoid sharp bends right at the ports to prevent stress on the joint.

Disconnection

  • Press the release collar evenly toward the body, then pull the tube out with a slight twist.
  • Never pull the tube without pressing the release collar — this can damage the internal locking claws.

Usage Precautions

  • Use clean, dry air within the rated pressure (vacuum to 1.0 MPa) and -5 °C to 60 °C.
  • Do not exceed the rated pressure — pressure spikes can push the tube out of the fitting.
  • Keep the fitting away from weld sparks, heat sources, chips and dust.
  • On vibrating machines, secure the tubes near the ports with clamps or use the sleeve-lock version.
  • Do not use the tee body as a handle to pull or carry tube bundles.

Maintenance

  • No lubrication required for the fitting itself.
  • Check periodically: tubes fully inserted, no cracks at the release collars, no air leakage (soapy water test).
  • If a tube becomes loose, cut a fresh square end and reinsert it.
  • Replace the fitting if a release collar or the body is damaged.

FAQ

Q1. Can plastic One-touch fittings be used when the fluid is water?

A1. Yes, they can (but for industrial use only). The max. operating pressure is 1 MPa including the surge pressure. The operating temperature is 0 to 40°C (no freezing).

Q2. What is the meaning of the “8” and “5/16” engravings on the release button of One-touch fittings?

A2. The release buttons of ø8 mm and ø5/16 inch fittings are shared. However, the size can be identified by the color of the release button (light gray is for the metric size and orange is for the inch size). Similarly, the release buttons of ø4 mm and ø5/32 inch fittings as well as ø3.2 mm and ø1/8 inch fittings also have both sizes engraved.

Q3. Are there any metric size One-touch fittings with an NPT connection thread?

A3. Consider the use of a metric size uni One-touch fitting.
The chamfered portion of the female thread is used as the seat surface, and the gasket is used for sealing. If using an inch-size tube and an Rc connection thread, inch size uni One-touch fittings are also available.

Q4. For the One-touch fittings, is it possible to switch between metric and inch tubing?

A4. For the straight type fittings, metric/inch conversion fittings are available. Please refer to the variations below.
Note 2) As ø3.2 and ø1/8, ø4 and ø5/32, and ø8 and ø5/16 are shared, different diameter straight type fittings are used.
Note 3) Be sure to confirm that no problems occur before use when using tubing from a manufacturer.

Q5. Is silicon used on the inside of One-touch fittings? (The use of silicon in the device’s mechanisms is problematic for the user.)

A5. Silicon is a chemical element (Si) known for its use as a semiconductor material.
Silicone, on the other hand, is an artificial compound made from silicon (the main component of siloxane).
Is it perhaps silicone that the user sees as a problem?
If so, there is only silicone used in the sealant of One-touch fittings.
However, silicone is not used in the fitting body or parts other than the seal.

Q6.How do I remove a tube from the tee?

A6.Press the release collar evenly toward the body and pull the tube out with a slight twist. Never pull the tube without pressing the collar.

Q7.What tubing works with this fitting?

A7. Nylon, soft nylon and polyurethane (PU) tubes of the matching O.D. — the same tubes used with standard push-in fittings.

Q8.How do I choose the right PE tee?

A8. Match the tee size to your tube O.D. (Ø4 / 6 / 8 / 10 / 12 / 16 mm) — all three ports of an equal tee take the same tube size. Metric and inch sizes are NOT interchangeable; if your branch tube is a different size, choose a reducing tee or a reducer fitting.
