FAQ
Q1.Can Nickel-Plated Brass One-touch fittings be used when the fluid is water?
A1.Yes, they can (but for industrial use only). The max. operating pressure is 1 MPa including the surge pressure. The operating temperature is 0 to 40°C (no freezing).
Q2.What is the tightening torque of the connection thread of One-touch fittings?
A2. For One-touch fittings with sealant (R: taper thread for piping, NPT: taper thread for U.S. piping) refer to below. For further details, refer to the “Specific Product Precautions” for each series.
Q3.Are there any metric size One-touch fittings with an NPT connection thread?
A3.Consider the use of a metric size uni One-touch fitting. The chamfered portion of the female thread is used as the seat surface, and the gasket is used for sealing. If using an inch-size tube and an Rc connection thread, inch size uni One-touch fittings are also available.
Q4. Are there any fittings that can withstand temperatures of up to 100°C?
A4. Stainless steel One-touch fittings can handle temperatures of up to 150°C. Depending on the conditions, an inner sleeve may need to be installed in the tube. In addition, stainless steel 316 fittings can be used in temperatures of up to 260°C. Note that there are limitations on the temperatures and operating fluids depending on the model (swivel elbow, etc.).
Q5.Can union elbow or male branch tee One-touch fittings be rotated on the body where the tube is inserted after tightening the connection thread?
A5.Yes, the orientation can be changed afterward. The bodies of union elbow or male branch tee One-touch fittings are press-fit into studs (sealed with O-rings) so they can be rotated for positioning. However, do not use the product in a manner in which the connected tube swings or rotates with respect to the fitting.
